The Forest Department of Jharkhand has come on alert mode after activities of a tiger were found in the CCTV cameras installed in the Dalma forest area
adjacent to Jamshedpur city.
In view of the tiger's activities, 40 CCTV cameras have been installed in the Dalma area.
The forest department has appealed to the people around Dalma to remain alert. It has asked to the villagers not to panic and not to go alone in the forest at night.
Sources in the forest department said that the nighttime activities of the tiger have been captured in the CCTV cameras. They hinted that the tiger had come
out of Palamu Tiger Reserve.
After leaving the PTR area it is roaming in various places and has now reached the forests of Dalma. The forest department team has reached the spot and confirmed the tiger's paw marks.
According to DFO Saba Alam Ansari, the current location of the tiger is Dalma and efforts are being made to trace it. He also clarified that the tiger has not hunted any animal so far.
A few days ago, this tiger was roaming in the border areas of Bagh Ghatshila and from there it entered the Belpahari area of West Bengal.
The DFO said that the tiger is sometimes going to Bengal via Dalma and sometimes roaming in the forests of Dalma. He assured that the tiger has not targeted any human so far and is staying away from crowded areas.
