A training aircraft that departed from Jamshedpur’s Sonari Airport in Jharkhand crash-landed shortly after takeoff on Tuesday morning. The two pilots on board the aircraft were missing at the time of filing of the report.

The aircraft is reported to be completely wrecked. Despite extensive search efforts, the crew remains unaccounted for, heightening fears for their safety.

The incident occurred when the aircraft took off around 11 am for a routine training mission. Soon after departure, the plane lost communication with Air Traffic Control (ATC), sparking immediate concern.

With no further contact, an emergency search operation was swiftly initiated, involving both police and officials from Jamshedpur and the nearby Saraikela district.

After several tense hours, the wreckage was located in Barubera, within the Jijika Panchayat area. The crash site, hidden within dense terrain, made the search and rescue operation difficult. The aircraft was found severely damaged, with no trace of the two pilots.

Given the state of the wreckage, it is believed that the pilots may have ejected from the aircraft before it crash-landed. This possibility has led to an intensive search by both air and ground teams.

Helicopters have been deployed to scour the area for signs of the missing pilots, while ground teams navigate the challenging terrain in hopes of finding them.

Local residents near the crash site reported hearing a loud explosion around the time the plane is believed to have gone down. Several villagers rushed to the scene, only to find the plane in pieces with no sign of the crew.

Officials have expressed deep concern for the missing pilots. "Our top priority is the safety of the pilots," said a senior official involved in the search. "We are using every available resource, including helicopters and ground teams, to locate them as quickly as possible," he added.

The cause of the crash remains unknown, and an investigation is underway to determine what led to the loss of communication and the subsequent crash.

As the search continues, the families of the missing pilots are anxiously awaiting updates. The aviation community in Jamshedpur is on edge, hoping for a positive resolution to this troubling situation.

The local administration has assured the people that every effort is being made to locate the missing crew and support their families. Meanwhile, the crash site in Barubera remains secured as investigators work to uncover what happened in the moments leading up to the crash.
