The police in Uttarakhand are preparing to investigate madrasas operating illegally in the state. Following instructions from Chief Minister Dhami, the police will now verify all madrasas and look into any illegal funding.
A committee has been formed at the district level, headed by the District Magistrate (DM), to carry out this task.
Dr. Nilesh Anand Bharane, IG and police spokesperson for Uttarakhand, stated that the verification of madrasas will take place across the state.
In addition to checking for illegal funding, authorities will also investigate whether children from other states are studying in these madrasas.
The committee, which includes representatives from various departments, will work together to inspect all madrasas. The committee is expected to submit its report within a month.
