Major General Manoj Tiwari, Zonal Recruiting Officer for Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, met with Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday at his camp office.
During their meeting, CM Dhami announced that 4,500 candidates from Uttarakhand have already been selected under the Agniveer recruitment scheme, and efforts are underway to fill an additional 2,000 vacant posts.
Major General Tiwari shared plans to organize recruitment camps at both the state and district levels to encourage maximum participation from Uttarakhand’s youth.
"Uttarakhand has a proud tradition of producing soldiers, and our government is committed to providing full support to the army at every level," CM Dhami stated on X (formerly Twitter).
"Special camps will be held to ensure that more youth can take part in future recruitments. We will offer all necessary assistance to make this happen."
CM Dhami Praises Mann Ki Baat
On Saturday, CM Dhami listened to the 117th edition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Mann Ki Baat program at his residence. He highlighted the program's role in inspiring citizens and fostering national unity.
The Chief Minister remarked that under PM Modi's leadership, the country is making strides in various sectors, aligning with the vision of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (One India, Great India).
National Achievements Recognized
CM Dhami also noted the significant contributions of India’s film and entertainment industry in promoting unity. He emphasized the country’s growing global recognition in areas like Ayurveda, language, music, and art.
He celebrated a recent World Health Organization report, which revealed an 80% reduction in malaria cases and deaths in India between 2015 and 2023. Calling it a major national achievement, CM Dhami lauded the progress as a testament to India’s commitment to health and development.
