Senior journalist from Punjab K.S. Chawla is no more. He left for his heavenly abode on June 25, 2025. Chawla had a distinguished career and he was an authority on political history of Punjab.
His brothers G.S. Chawla and T.S. Chawla are also prominent journalists. Chawla was into the profession of journalism since the early 1960s and covered the inauguration of Punjab Agricultural University by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the then Prime Minister of India, in July 1963.
A reputable correspondent of The Tribune, he had seen Punjab politics from close quarters. Even after his retirement, he continued to make contributions on important political issues facing Punjab in various platforms.
