Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday inaugurated India's first private AI-fortified multidisciplinary university in Uttar Pradesh's Unnao district, which he termed a milestone in establishing a modern India, as per a release. The chief minister underscored the state government's initiative of digital and technical empowerment of young people, increasing public-private investment, and significant reforms promoting education-industry interface.

He stated the university is consistent with India's wider AI mission and national initiatives such as Startup India, and will assist in placing the state on a higher footing on both national and international levels.

In his speech, he portrayed Unnao as a region rich in literature, culture, and history, graced by the Ganga and abode to legends of India's freedom struggle and literary renaissance. He stated that the technological leapfrog with the opening of the new campus of Chandigarh University is envisioned by PM Narendra Modi.

According to reports, "The university, he said, will not only be a centre of contemporary education but will also connect India's ancient knowledge systems with advanced technical learning, being in harmony with the National Education Policy's spirit of multidisciplinary learning to promote research, innovation, and overall development." Adityanath stated that one of the greatest issues that have confronted educational institutions has been that they have operated in isolation — like islands, with little extension. The students would remain unaware of most important government schemes for their own good, thus hampering proper career planning on time.

He maintained that institutes of learning should become arenas for industry-centric skill development, career counselling, and life shaping, and not just provide education.

The chief minister appealed to students to go ahead with discipline, in the direction of teachers, and in accordance with the expectations of society. He emphasised that only disciplined and cultured youth can construct a robust India.

Adityanath further emphasised that, in the last eight years, the state has developed a law-abiding and secure atmosphere, which is one of the key reasons for bringing investment.
