Travel plans of thousands of passengers, including pilgrims from Punjab visiting Mata Vaishno Devi, have been disrupted as Indian Railways cancelled 65 trains between Jalandhar and Jammu. The cancellations are due to essential track repair work near Jammu Tawi Railway Station.
In addition to the 65 cancellations, 19 trains have been temporarily suspended for the coming days, and schedules for six other trains have been revised. Altogether, the operations of 90 trains have been affected, causing inconvenience for Punjab pilgrims heading to Vaishno Devi and other destinations.

Several trains frequently used by passengers from Punjab have had their schedules altered, including:
- Dhanbad to Jammu Tawi Special (rescheduled for January 18, 21, 25, and 28)
- Amritsar to Katihar Express
- Howrah-Amritsar Mail
- Golden Temple Mail
- Amritsar Swarna Shatabdi Express
- Vaishno Devi Travel Disrupted
The disruptions have impacted devotees traveling from Punjab to Mata Vaishno Devi, forcing many to make alternative arrangements. Pilgrims and other passengers are advised to check for updates on train schedules to plan their journeys accordingly.
Indian Railways has stated that the track repairs are progressing quickly to minimize inconvenience.
