PM Modi scared of Trump claims Rahul Gandhi in Bihar.

Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Sunday launched a sharp attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, alleging that he is being “controlled” by industrialists Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani.

Addressing an election rally in Begusarai in support of Mahagathbandhan candidate and Congress leader Amita Bhushan, Rahul Gandhi targeted the Prime Minister’s leadership, questioning his independence and decision-making. He also mocked Modi’s oft-cited “56-inch chest”, claiming that the Prime Minister succumbs to external pressure.

“Operation Sindoor happened, Donald Trump’s phone comes, Modi ji, who says he has a 56-inch chest, gets scared as Trump says to stop this Sindoor, and within two days Modi stopped it,” Rahul Gandhi said at the rally.

“The truth is that Narendra Modi is not only afraid of the US President, but he is also being controlled by people like Adani and Ambani,” he added.

Drawing historical parallels, the Congress leader said, “During the 1971 war, when the Indian Army was fighting against Pakistan, the American Navy came here and President Richard Nixon threatened India to stop the war in Bangladesh. Indira Gandhi did not back down. She said the US could do what it wanted, but India would continue. We showed them our strength.”

Rahul Gandhi continued his criticism of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), taking aim at Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s recent remarks that there was “no land in Bihar” to set up industries.

“Amit Shah says there is no land for companies in Bihar, but I ask the Prime Minister—there is land to give to Adani for Rs 1 after stealing it, but no land for Bihar’s development?” he said.

Promising a new era of development if the Mahagathbandhan comes to power, Gandhi assured voters of better education facilities and economic revival in Bihar.

“Our Mahagathbandhan will come to power in Bihar, and we will provide the best education to you. I give this personal guarantee that when the INDIA alliance comes to power at the Centre, we will open a university as good as Nalanda University, where students from across the world will come to study,” he said.

Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Begusarai marks an important moment in the high-stakes Bihar Assembly elections. The Begusarai constituency, long considered a BJP stronghold and dominated by upper-caste Bhumihaar voters, is witnessing a fierce contest between the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and the Mahagathbandhan.

Congress candidate Amita Bhushan, also a Bhumihaar leader, is challenging BJP’s sitting MLA Kundan Kumar, who is seeking re-election. The entry of the Jan Suraaj party has further intensified the political battle in the region.

Polling for the 243-seat Bihar Assembly will be held in two phases on November 6 and November 11, with counting scheduled for November 14.

Rahul Gandhi’s remarks in Begusarai underline the Congress party’s aggressive campaign strategy as it seeks to challenge the NDA’s dominance in Bihar ahead of the crucial polls.
