Today, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is all set to present her seventh consecutive Budget, which is considered the action plan for the Modi 3.0 government to outline India's development roadmap for the next five years.
Anticipation is high as she is expected to announce an increase in the basic exemption limits for both old and new tax regimes, providing much-needed relief for the middle class.
The Finance Minister has arrived at Parliament and is scheduled to present the Budget at 11 am. Additionally, Chief Economic Advisor V Anantha Nageswaran has also arrived at the Ministry of Finance.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed confidence in the upcoming budget, stating that it will be strong and will prioritise reaching the common man. Notably, Nirmala Sitharaman recently presented the Economic Survey in Parliament on the first day of the Monsoon Session.
