During the presentation of the Union Budget for 2024-25 in the Lok Sabha, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced a significant allocation of Rs 1.48 lakh crore for education, employment, and skilling initiatives in the country.
Emphasising the government's focus on employment, skilling, support for MSMEs, and the middle class, the Finance Minister also highlighted the extension of the PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana for five years, which continues to benefit 80 crore people in the country.
Additionally, she reiterated the government's commitment to prioritising the welfare of the underprivileged, women, youth, and farmers, as previously outlined in the interim budget.
She concluded by expressing the government's dedication to leveraging the unique opportunity provided by the people to propel India towards robust development and overall prosperity under the leadership of the Modi government.
