Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president, KT Rama Rao (KTR), took to X on Saturday to state how the Centre is depriving Telangana by not sanctioning money for the Hyderabad Metro Rail expansion in the Budget.
His post reads: “Telangana has been blessing the BJP with MP seats, but at what cost? Despite giving 8 MPs to the BJP from Telangana during its tough times, the BJP-led NDA government hasn’t sanctioned a penny for the Hyderabad Metro Rail expansion even in the latest budget.”
He accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of not sanctioning money for the Hyderabad Metro Rail expansion in the Budget.
He added that the party had made several representations to the Union government in the past, but was ineffective.
KTR claimed that the BJP government has funded 20 Metro Rail projects in the country over the last 10 years.
In his post, he even listed out the following projects and the funds allocated to them:
He then added, “Unfortunately, Hyderabad Metro has received diddly-squat. Unjust and unfair!”
KTR lost the recent Lok Sabha polls after the party was not leading in any of the 17 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana.
