Union Home Minister Amit Shah kicked off the Bharatiya Janata Party's election campaign in Rajasthan on Sunday with a grand roadshow in Sikar, drawing enthusiastic crowds chanting slogans in support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and showering flower petals on him.

 

Accompanied by Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma and MP Sumedhanand Saraswati, Shah landed at Jaipur airport in the afternoon, where he received a warm welcome from the Chief Minister.

 

Following his arrival, Shah convened a joint meeting of 8 Lok Sabha core committees at a private hotel. Attendees included Chief Minister Sharma, Deputy Chief Ministers Diya Kumari and Premchand Bairwa, Ministers Kirori Lal Meena and Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, senior leader Rajendra Rathore, as well as party MLAs and leaders.

 

During the meeting, Shah engaged committee members on work distribution and upcoming election strategy with a goal to secure all 25 seats in the state. He emphasized the importance of unified effort to achieve the NDA's 400-seat target and BJP's 370-seat target. Additionally, Shah set a goal to win the Lok Sabha elections with a higher margin of 15 percent.

 

Shah emphasized the importance of robust booth management and the active involvement of all workers, including those from Shakti Kendra and Panna Pramukh roles. Clear guidelines were provided to promote collaboration and teamwork among party members for strengthening the party's unity.

 

After concluding the Lok Sabha core committees meeting, Shah departed for Sikar, where he was scheduled to return to Jaipur later in the day for further meetings with various social organizations.

 

Later in the evening, Shah was set to chair the State Core Committee meeting in Jaipur to finalize the election strategy for Rajasthan. This committee comprises the Chief Minister, both Deputy Chief Ministers, State President C.P. Joshi, former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, and other senior state leaders.

 

On Monday, Shah is expected to hold a series of meetings with leaders from Jodhpur, Pali, Jalore, Sirohi, Barmer, among other areas, in former CM Ashok Gehlot's hometown of Jodhpur before departing for Delhi in the afternoon.
