Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has pledged to address the demand for reservation by the Jats in Dholpur and Bharatpur districts, assuring swift action on the issue.
Speaking at an election rally in support of BJP Lok Sabha candidate Ramswaroop Koli on Sunday, Chief Minister Sharma acknowledged the longstanding reservation issue affecting the Jat community in the two districts, assuring swift action on their reservation issue.
"The Jat reservation matter has been lingering, and I am fully cognizant of it," Chief Minister Sharma affirmed.
He disclosed that a state government committee is currently compiling a report on the Jat reservation, indicating a strong stance in presenting their case to the OBC Commission.
"With the imminent formation of a BJP government at the Centre and the presence of a BJP administration in the state, we are poised to expedite the implementation of reservation," Chief Minister Sharma asserted.
He further emphasised the importance of electing Koli to the Lok Sabha, noting that Koli would be a potent advocate for the swift realization of Jat quota in Delhi.
"Now, with Koli's election from this constituency, we will have a strong voice representing us in Delhi, advocating for the prompt implementation of Jat reservation in Bharatpur and Dholpur," Chief Minister Sharma remarked.
The assurance comes amid ongoing discussions surrounding reservation policies and efforts to address the demands of the Jat community.
