In Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur district, a tragic incident unfolded on Friday, resulting in the brutal deaths of a 52-year-old railway employee and his eight-year-old son. The alleged perpetrator, Mukul Kumar, a 19-year-old man accused of raping the government employee's teenage daughter, remains at large, while the daughter is missing.
The horrific events came to light when the 14-year-old survivor managed to send a distressing voice message from her father's phone to her grandfather immediately following the murders.
Upon receiving the distress call, law enforcement swiftly responded. They found the railway employee's government quarter locked from the outside. Upon entering, they discovered a gruesome scene: the railway employee lay dead in a pool of blood while his son's body was found inside a refrigerator. The whereabouts of the missing teenage girl remain unknown.
Initial investigations suggest that both father and son were brutally attacked with a sharp-edged weapon. Mukul Kumar had previously been arrested and detained under sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act but had been released on bail.
Police are reviewing CCTV footage from the vicinity of the railway employee's residence as part of a thorough investigation. The search continues for both the perpetrator and the missing teenage survivor. It's important to note that the railway employee and his children had moved to the government quarter following the tragic death of his wife last year.
