Three migrant workers, including a minor from Bihar, have allegedly gangraped a 27-year-old woman from Odisha at knifepoint in Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu.
The crime was committed in front of her husband. Police have said that all the three accused have been booked.
Reports suggest that the incident took place on Monday night.
The woman, her husband and their three-year-old child arrived in the city on the same day in search of employment.
According to the police, the family from Odisha wandered around the city for some time, as they did not know where to go or whom to approach. Finally, the family reached near a theatre when the accused approached them.

Shedding light on the incident, the investigating officer said that the accused have been identified as Mohammad Nadim, 24, Mohammad Danish, 25, and a 17-year-old— all were from Bihar. The officer added that the accused promised the family to help them in finding employment opportunities in the state.
The family was then taken to a rented room, where the accused offered them a place to stay for the night.
The officer, further, added: “When the family was resting after dinner, the men assaulted the husband and tied him up. After which they raped the woman. Those rapists warned the couple against complaining to the police, otherwise they would kill them."
The couple filed a complaint at the Tiruppur North all-women police station after they could leave from the crime scene.
The police registered a case and arrested the suspects a day after.
Mohammad Nadim and Mohammad Danish have been remanded to judicial custody at Coimbatore Central Prison, while the minor was sent to the Coimbatore Juvenile Reformatory School.
