CDS Gen Anil Chauhan held talks with Chief of the General Staff of Armenia, Lt General Edvard Asryan, in Delhi, and the two sides explored avenues for joint ventures in the development of military hardware, officials said on Tuesday. The countries reaffirmed their shared commitment to a robust and future-oriented strategic partnership.
The top military officer of Armenia met Gen Chauhan during his official visit to India.
The meeting took place at the Manekshaw Centre in Delhi Cantonment.
"General Anil Chauhan #CDS held discussions with Lt General Edvard Asryan, Chief of the General Staff of Armenia, during his official visit to India. The General officer was received by the #CDS and was accorded a Guard of Honour," the Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff (HQ IDS) said in a post on X.
"The engagement reflected the steady advancement of #IndiaArmeniaDefenceRelations. The HQ IDS also shared some photos of the meeting between the two military leaders.
Lt Gen Asryan also met IAF Chief Air Chief Marshal A P Singh and held discussion with him on enhancing operational cooperation, interoperability, and strengthening bilateral air power ties, the Indian Air Force said on Tuesday.
"Lt Gen Edvard Asryan, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia, on an official visit to India, called on Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, Chief of the Air Staff, Indian Air Force.
