The Defence Secretary of India, Rajesh Kumar Singh, visited the forward areas in the Creek Sector, Bhuj, reviewing the transformative initiatives of the Indian Army and the joint surveillance initiative manned by various agencies at the Joint Control Centre.
Singh further witnessed the multi-agency Exercise TATRAKSHA. The drill showcases integrated coastal & amphibious operations, new-gen weapon systems, and enhanced jointness for future-ready Armed Forces.
“The Defence Secretary visited the Joint Control Centre, jointly manned by the Tri-Services, Indian Coast Guard, BSF and other security agencies. The centre aims at synergising the multi-source sensor inputs in the region to deliver a unified surveillance picture and enhance situational awareness for ground commanders,” said the official statement.
He also inaugurated the Monumental Flag, symbolising national pride and unity in the border region, and also witnessed a comprehensive operational display of new-generation weapon systems, the statement added.
The visit reaffirmed the Government's continued focus on strengthening jointness, enhancing infrastructure, promoting indigenisation, and developing future-ready, resilient, and technologically advanced Armed Forces, it further added.
