The Defense Minister of Greece, Nikos Dendias, is in India and met India’s External Affairs Minister, S Jaishankar, holding talks about the changing global dynamics and on strategic issues. Dendias is in Delhi at the invitation of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
EAM shared insights about his meeting with Dendias in a post on ‘X’, and wrote, "Delighted to welcome Minister of National Defense of Greece Nikos Dendias this evening. An in-depth conversation on a wide range of strategic and security issues. Appreciate his many insights and assessments."
The visit of Dendias comes a few weeks after the India-EU FTA was signed.
Dendias also expressed his gratitude in a post on X, saying, "I was honoured to be invited by my friend Minister of External Affairs of India Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar to his residence in New Delhi, in the context of my official visit to the country, following an invitation by my counterpart Rajnath Singh. We had a cordial discussion on regional and international developments."
India and Greece held their first-ever Joint Services Staff Talks in January 2026 and are expanding collaboration in technology, defence production, and anti-terrorism.
