As mentioned by Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh, India will receive the remaining two S-400 Squadrons by this year; one in June and the other in November.
Previously, there were reports of S-400 being delivered to India in May 2026, coinciding with the first anniversary of ‘Operation Sindoor’.
The S-400 defence system played a very crucial role in the operation and assisted India in prevailing in the four-day military conflict with Pakistan. It downed Pakistani missiles during the May conflict.
It is one of the world’s most advanced air defence systems, capable of tracking and destroying aircraft, drones, and ballistic missiles up to 400 km away.
