The Airports Authority of India (AAI) is set to declare unprecedented profits of Rs 5,000 crore for the fiscal year 2023-24, according to a senior official's announcement on Monday.
In recent years, the expansion of airports, notably under the regional air connectivity scheme, has coincided with a notable surge in domestic air traffic.
AAI Chairman, Sanjeev Kumar, revealed that the organization has surpassed its capital expenditure target, reaching approximately Rs 5,250 crore for the fiscal year ending March 2024.
The projected turnover for the 2023-24 fiscal year is estimated at around Rs 15,000 crore, with a pre-tax profit of Rs 5,000 crore, representing the highest figure in the organization's history, as stated by Kumar.
These remarks were delivered during the 29th annual day celebration of the AAI.
