Leading stock exchanges BSE and NSE announced a trading holiday on 20 November due to assembly elections in Maharashtra.
There will be no trading on that day in the equity, Futures & Options (F&O), and Securities Lending and Borrowing (SLB) segments.
In separate circulars, BSE and NSE stated that the exchanges would remain closed on 20 November 2024, and trading in equity, equity derivatives, and SLB segments would be suspended.
The elections for the 288-member state legislative assembly will be held on 20 November, with vote counting set for 23 November.
This marks the third stock market holiday in November, following the Diwali break on 1 November and the upcoming Guru Nanak Jayanti holiday on 15 November.
