The Ministry of Consumer Affairs has issued a strict warning to 10 companies that have received the highest number of complaints on the National Consumer Helpline (NCH) this fiscal year. The ministry has instructed these firms to either become Convergence Partners on the NCH platform, ensuring prompt complaint resolution, or be prepared for a thorough investigation.
Companies that are Convergence Partners on NCH receive complaints instantly, allowing them to resolve them within 30 days. Currently, 1,009 firms are Convergence Partners.
“Many companies close complaints without actually resolving them. Some claim that the issue is not covered under their policy. The companies with the highest number of complaints have been warned to prepare for strict action,” a senior official said.
The Ministry of Consumer Affairs has identified ten companies, including Delhivery Limited, Electronicscomp.com, Domino’s Pizza, Haier Appliances, FirstCry.com, Thomson India, M&M, Rapido, Orient Electric, and Symphony Limited, that have received the most complaints, according to a report in Navbharat Times.
Complaints about a firm's service can be registered online via a WhatsApp number (8800001915) provided by the National Consumer Helpline (NCH). You can send a message to this number along with any related photos or videos.
