Recognizing the immense potential of women, governments have introduced several schemes aimed at addressing the persistent challenges they face.

Here are some of the state's government schemes designed to promote women's empowerment and provide them with equal opportunities:
Delhi's Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana:
The Delhi government has introduced the Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana, offering ₹1,000 monetary assistance every month to women above 18 years who are residents of Delhi and hold a Voter ID card in the national capital.
Uttar Pradesh's Mission Shakti:
Uttar Pradesh launched Mission Shakti with various phases including the establishment of Mission Shakti Kaksha in all 59,000 Gram Panchayat Bhawans, formation of women self-help groups, and linking beneficiaries to destitute women pension schemes.
Additionally, schemes like Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangla Yojana and Nirbhaya-Ek Pahal Program provide social security and financial assistance to women in the state.
Maharashtra's Manjhi Kanya Bhagyashree Scheme:
Under this scheme, the Maharashtra government provides financial assistance to girl children, offering ₹50,000 for one child over 18 years and ₹25,000 each for two girl children.
Bihar's Kanya Utthan Yojana:
Encouraging higher education among females, the Kanya Utthan Yojana in Bihar offers approximately ₹50,000 to women until they complete their graduation.
Tamil Nadu's Amma Two-Wheeler Scheme:
Tamil Nadu's initiative provides subsidies to working women for purchasing two-wheelers, with a 50% subsidy capped at ₹25,000.
Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP):
The WEP offers a comprehensive platform for women entrepreneurs, providing support in funding, mentorship, networking, incubation, compliance, tax assistance, and marketing.
Skill Upgradation and Mahila Coir Yojana:
Led by the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, this scheme provides training and stipends to women artisans in the coir industry, enabling them to set up their units.
Support to Training and Employment Programme for Women:
Initiated by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, this program equips women with skills for self-employment and entrepreneurship.
Women Scientists Scheme:
The Women Scientists Scheme is supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology and it provides opportunities to women scientists between 27-57 years old who want to return to the mainstream after a career break. Under this scheme, women scientists are encouraged to pursue research in frontier areas of science and engineering, problems of societal relevance, and to take up Science and Technology-based internships followed by self-employment.
