Government champions India's MSME, set the stage for global recognition

The government is planning a series of Mega events slated in the upcoming months to elevate India's position as a global economic powerhouse. 

The line-up of events commences with the vision of "Atma Nirbhar Bharat Utsav" scheduled from 3rd to 10th January 2024 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

 

The event affirms to showcase a rich array of offerings, including products from artisans, weavers, khadi, tribal crafts, MSMEs and cottage industries, offering a direct interface between producers and consumers.

 

The Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, consumer affairs, food & public distribution, and textiles, Piysuh Goyal stated "The government under the visionary leadership of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is promoting India as a global MICE( Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and exhibitions) destination to exhibit India's MSME sector, traditional handicrafts, artisanal offerings, weavers and manufacturing prowess" The minister while addressing a media conference on 28th Dec in Delhi also highlighted the series of game-changing initiatives being undertaken to emphasize India's global footprint and reinforce its economic engagement with the world.

 

Additionally, following the sequence of events the 'Indus Food' exhibition will be held at India Exposition Mart, Greater Noida from 8th to 10th January 2024. Thus, featuring over 1100 exhibitors from nearly 120 countries and is anticipated to attract over 2500 overseas buyers. The exhibition focuses on promoting supplementary agricultural products, aiming to enhance farmer's income and generate more employment in the food-processing sectors. 

 

The 'Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024' is set to take center stage from 1st to 3rd February 2024 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. This exhibition aims to cover an extensive 10 lakh sq feet, with mobility exposition featuring stakeholders across the automobile and mobility sector, exhibiting their strengths and innovations. Further, enveloping areas like next-gen eco friendly products, construction equipment, and various innovative mobility solutions.

 

In the aftermath, 'Bharat Tex' is set to schedule from 26th to 29th January 2024 at both Bharat Mandapam and Yashobhoomi, New Delhi.

 

Furthermore, Piyush Goyal accentuated the size, scale and ambition of these exhibitions, emphasizing India's monumental revolution in its global engagement. He also spotlights the aim to foster greater business and market engagement worldwide, making a significant shift in India's global outreach strategy.
