Sterlite Electric Limited has started this fiscal on a strong note by bagging orders worth ₹1,500 crore in the April-June quarter, the company said on Tuesday.

A statement by the company said the new orders, which were mainly driven by green energy exports, reflect sustained demand for the company’s power cables, advanced conductors, and Optical Ground Wire (OPGW) across both domestic and international markets.

Sterlite Electric Limited, formerly known as Sterlite Power Transmission Limited, is a global leader in the cable conductor industry specialising in the design, manufacture, and supply of high-performance power conductors, extra-high voltage, high voltage, medium voltage cables, and OPGW.

Additionally, the company has secured orders for reconductoring and uprating existing transmission systems from prominent state utilities.

Sterlite Electric said its focus also remains on strengthening its position in global markets across SAARC, LATAM, North America, Europe, Middle East and Africa.

"With an increasing focus on green energy, we are proud to be part of the critical infrastructure that supports India’s energy transition and global de-carbonisation goals. The export momentum continues to grow, and we remain committed to be a reliable partner for utilities and industries across multiple regions," said Reshu Madan, CEO, Sterlite Electric Ltd.
