Heavy rains force Qatar airways to divert to Bengaluru

A Qatar Airways flight from Doha to Goa was diverted to Bengaluru early Tuesday morning due to "poor visibility" at Manohar International Airport (MIA), an official reported.

 

Goa experienced heavy rainfall on Monday.

 

The Qatar Airways flight (QR522) was unable to land at MIA in North Goa due to poor visibility at 1:50 am, according to an MIA official.

 

The flight, which had arrived from Doha, circled MIA for 15-20 minutes before being redirected to Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
