India’s trade talks with the US seem to be back on track after US President Donald Trump and India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi warmed up to each other and expressed interest in resuming the stalled trade negotiations.
India’s Commerce and Industry Minister, Piyush Goyal, affirmed on Wednesday that India is in 'active dialogue' with the United States for a free trade agreement.
Meanwhile, India is also negotiating with the European Union to conclude a trade agreement, said the minister.
India has been actively seeking to expand its export partners after being bombarded with tariffs by the US. Goyal confirmed India’s trade talks are on with New Zealand.
