Indian drone manufacturer Garuda Aerospace has set its sights on a lofty goal - selling 50,000 agricultural and consumer drones in the coming years.
This ambitious target coincides with the inauguration of their first exclusive showroom in Chennai, a testament to the company's confidence in the burgeoning drone market.
The Chennai-based company, backed by cricket legend Mahendra Singh Dhoni, boasts a clientele of over 750 across the nation and a proven track record of 350 completed projects.
Garuda Aerospace recently secured DGCA approval for manufacturing small and medium drones, further solidifying their position in the domestic drone industry.
"We are driven by the transformative potential of our drone technology," asserted Agnishwar Jayaprakash, CEO of Garuda Aerospace.
The company boasts a 200-member strong workforce, including a distinguished advisory board, department heads and skilled pilots.
Garuda Aerospace has already sold a commendable 2,500 drones, with agricultural models comprising a significant portion (2,000 units).
Looking ahead, the company has set a two-year target of selling 25,000 agri-drones, followed by an unspecified timeframe to achieve sales of at least 25,000 consumer drones.
