Indian stock market ends on negative note: BSE Sensex and NSE nifty dip

The 30-share BSE Sensex concluded the day at 73,142.80, marking a decrease of 15.44 points or 0.02 per cent. Similarly, the NSE Nifty ended at 22,193.65, down by 23.80 points or 0.11 per cent. Nifty Bank also experienced a dip, falling by 141.80 points or 0.30 per cent to reach 46,778.

In Friday's trading session, Indian benchmark indices, the BSE Sensex and the NSE Nifty, closed on a negative note, with both indices witnessing a slight decline.

 

The 30-share BSE Sensex concluded the day at 73,142.80, marking a decrease of 15.44 points or 0.02 per cent. Similarly, the NSE Nifty ended at 22,193.65, down by 23.80 points or 0.11 per cent. Nifty Bank also experienced a dip, falling by 141.80 points or 0.30 per cent to reach 46,778.

 

In the Sensex pack, notable gainers included Bajaj Finserv, Titan, Reliance Industries, M&M, and Nestle India. On the flip side, HCL Tech, Maruti Suzuki, Asian Paints, Bharti Airtel, and TCS were among the major laggards. Among the Nifty stocks, significant gainers comprised Bajaj Finserv, SBI Life, HDFC Life, L&T Infotech, and Dr Reddy's Laboratories. Conversely, BPCL, HCL Tech, Maruti Suzuki, Asian Paints, and ONGC were among the losers.

 

The Indian markets initially opened in the green zone on Friday, with the Sensex starting at 72,540.32, up by 89.85 points, and the Nifty at 22,213, rising by 33.85 points. However, Nifty Bank, in the morning session, traded higher at 46,980.15 but later experienced a decline, down by 60.35 points.

 

The day's trading activity showcased mixed sentiments among investors, with some sectors witnessing gains while others faced losses. Factors such as global market cues, economic indicators, and corporate earnings reports continue to influence investor sentiment
