The data centre industry is entering a phase of “unprecedented growth”, which must be supported by a technologically, operationally, and environmentally-sound infrastructure.
Data centre providing company Nxtra Data, which is wholly owned by Airtel, released its sustainability report 2025, in which it stressed upon the emergence of a world that is shaped by digital experiences, saying AI, cloud, and digital connectivity now define life and work.
“As one of the fastest-growing data centre operators in the country, we recognise that with scale comes responsibility,” said Ashish Arora, Nxtra CEO, adding that 49 per cent of the total power consumed at Nxtra’s core data centres was sourced from renewable energy sources.
