The Prime Minister took to social media platform X to announce the achievement, stating, "Outstanding news! In about a month since it was launched, over 1 crore households have already registered themselves for the PM-Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana."
The registrations have poured in from every corner of the nation, reflecting the widespread enthusiasm and interest in adopting solar energy solutions. States such as Assam, Bihar, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh have witnessed over 5 lakh registrations, indicating a strong uptake of the scheme across diverse regions.
Encouraging those who haven't yet registered, Modi emphasized the importance of participation, urging citizens to avail themselves of the benefits of the initiative.
