Prime Minister Narendra Modi reaffirmed the government's commitment to fostering a favorable environment for startups to thrive, emphasizing the significance of youthful innovation across India, particularly in tier-2 and 3 cities.

In a social media series on Wednesday, PM Modi expressed pride in the nation's youthful energy and emphasised the administration's active support for startups and wealth generation.

"Our government actively promotes startups and the creation of wealth," Modi conveyed to innovators and entrepreneurs.

The remarks come following an event, 'Vishesh Sampark Abhiyan,' in the capital on Monday, where innovators and technocrats lauded initiatives like Atal Innovation Mission, Start-up India, Stand-Up India, and Digital India for driving economic transformation.

During the 'Vishesh Sampark Abhiyan' event in the capital, innovators and technocrats praised initiatives such as the Atal Innovation Mission, Start-up India, Stand-Up India, and Digital India for driving significant changes in the Indian economy. They engaged with Union Ministers Hardeep Singh Puri and Rajeev Chandrashekhar.

"In today’s India, one’s surname doesn’t matter. What matters most is hard work. Your journey is truly inspiring, @deepigoyal. It motivates countless youngsters to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams," PM Modi posted, offering encouragement to Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal.

PM Modi also lauded Abhiraj Bhal, founder of Urban Company, citing the 'Startup India' initiative's role in nurturing an environment conducive to innovation and growth.

Addressing Sunil Vachhani, Chairman of Dixon Technologies, PM Modi hailed the remarkable transformation in India’s mobile phone and electronics industry, attributing it to India’s potential and proactive measures taken in recent years.

"The increase in the number of unicorns from four in 2015 to 130 in 2024 is testament to India's growing potential, with over 1.25 lakh startups in the country," noted the Prime Minister.

PM Modi also commended Rohan Verma, CEO of Map My India, affirming the government's commitment to furthering efforts in transforming critical space and geospatial sectors.
