The Uttar Pradesh-special international trade show is set to be unveiled in its third year at the Greater Noida’s India Expo Mart on September 25 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi

The Uttar Pradesh-special international trade show is set to be unveiled in its third year at the Greater Noida’s India Expo Mart on September 25 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The UP International Trade Show (UPITS) 2025 will be held from September 25 to 29 and present the state of Uttar Pradesh's industrial, agricultural, cultural, and innovation strengths on a global stage, said an official statement.

The third edition of the mega event will stand out this year for not only its ‘One District One Product (ODOP) Pavilion’ that features 343 stalls dedicated to the signature products of each district of UP, but also Russia’s participation as the partner country.

With the pavilion offering a platform for business collaborations and partnerships involving startups, designers, and international buyers, Russia and India will engage in a Business Dialogue session on September 26, bringing together policymakers, industrialists, financial institutions, insurance firms, and academia from both nations.

“This dialogue will not only strengthen economic cooperation, but also pave the way for technological partnerships, joint ventures, and new business opportunities in the state”, the statement added.

Meanwhile, the ODOP Pavilion will include exclusive Bhadohi carpets and Firozabad’s glasswork besides Moradabad’s metalware and Saharanpur’s woodcraft. The displays are aimed at showcasing the journey of UP's craftsmanship from local to global.

UPITS 2025 aims to create a future-ready ecosystem for youth, entrepreneurs, and international delegates, while celebrating the state's diverse identity through the confluence of craft, culture, and cuisine, it said.

Since its inception in 2023, UPITS has grown in scale and impact, registering more than double growth in just two editions. The upcoming third edition is expected to attract over 2,500 exhibitors, 500 foreign buyers, and more than half a million visitors, the organisers informed.

While the inaugural edition had been opened by President Droupadi Murmu, and featured 1,914 exhibitors and 400 foreign buyers; the second edition in 2024 was inaugurated by then-Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, and saw 2,122 exhibitors, 350 foreign buyers, and 500,000 visitors, generating export orders worth over ₹2,200 crore and direct sales of ₹40 crore, the statement further added.

This year, the IT and Electronics Department will present a live demonstration of an AI model at a sprawling 200-square-metre pavilion. Other exceptional additions include a curved LED wall, smart video displays, a VIP lounge, and a dedicated startup zone.

Adding a flavourful dimension will be the ‘Swad Uttar Pradesh’ theme featuring 25 food stalls serving traditional delicacies such as Moradabadi dal, Banarasi paan and lassi, Panchhi petha, Jain shikanji, Mathura peda, and Khurja's khurchan.

On September 27, as many as 27 premier educational institutions will sign MoUs (memorandum of agreements) and see final-year students and alumni participate in projects, while bankers and industry leaders will extend financial and strategic support.

CM Yuva Fellows from all 75 districts will also showcase local brands via a digital campaign as well as the platform conclave.cmyuva.org.in to connect youth with opportunities.

‘Knowledge sessions’ are slated for September 26 to 28, and will feature experts guiding participants on startups, IT and electronics, healthcare, insurance awareness, e-commerce exports, and skill development.

For the entertainment of the visitors, there will be performances of Bhojpuri, Awadhi, Bundeli, and Tharu folk traditions, alongside soulful Sufi music, graceful Kathak recitals, and melodious light music.

Artistes who would be performing include Dinesh Lal 'Nirahua', Padmashree Malini Awasthi, and Pratibha Singh Baghel.
