Samsung dominates US home appliance market with 21% share: TraQline report

Samsung dominates US home appliance market with 21% share: TraQline report


Samsung Electronics emerged as the leading brand in the home appliances sector in the United States last year, according to data released on Wednesday.

 

Citing figures from market researcher TraQline, Samsung Electronics secured a significant 21 percent share of the US home appliances market in terms of sales in 2023.

 

Its Korean competitor, LG Electronics, followed closely with 19 percent, trailed by General Electric at 18 percent and Whirlpool at 15 percent.

 

In terms of quantity, Samsung maintained its dominance with a 19 percent market share, with General Electric capturing 17 percent. LG Electronics and Whirlpool both held a 16 percent share, as per reports from Yonhap news agency.

 

Furthermore, a survey conducted by TraQline revealed that Samsung stood out as the most preferred brand among consumers when it comes to purchasing home appliances, commanding 32 percent of consideration.

 

LG Electronics trailed at 29 percent, while General Electric and Whirlpool tied at 28 percent.

 

Samsung has been actively expanding its presence in the US home appliance market, introducing new products and services infused with artificial intelligence technology.
