In a first for both Singapore’s national tourism board and India’s private carrier, IndiGo, the two signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that aims to boost tourism and travel between the two countries, said a statement by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB).
Under the year-long strategic pact, the two partners will work to promote the island nation as a leading destination for both business people and holiday-goers by boosting bookings through the airline’s extensive network, said STB.
It also informed that there are already 270 weekly flights connecting 15 Indian cities with Singapore’s Changi Airport.

Additionally, in the first half of 2025, Indian visitor arrivals exceeded 5,00,000, the statement said further.
“As we celebrate 60 years of India-Singapore diplomatic relations in 2025, our expanded collaboration with IndiGo and the launch of the year-long ‘Untold Singapore’s campaign positions us to harness the potential of India’s dynamic travel market,” said Melissa Ow, Chief Executive, Singapore Tourism Board.
Ow added that the campaign will leverage IndiGo’s extensive network with Singapore’s cosmopolitan culture that finds growing popularity.
Starting August 9, which is also Singapore’s National Day, the Gurugram-based airliner plans to launch its ‘IndiGoStretch’ business class on flights connecting Singapore to Delhi and Mumbai.
“There is great demand for existing connectivity between the two countries and potential for more. With flights from nine destinations and seamless connections across our network, we are well positioned to cater to growing demand on these routes, with our recent introduction of IndiGoStretch,” said Pieter Elbers, Chief Executive Officer, IndiGo, said.
