Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) announced on Friday the opening of a new delivery centre in Warsaw, Poland, as part of its expansion plans in the region. The company expects to double its workforce in Poland to over 1,200 within a year.
The new delivery centre highlights TCS’s capabilities across various industries and technologies, according to a regulatory filing. It aims to tap into Poland’s skilled talent pool in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector, allowing TCS to deliver hyper-connected services to its global clients.
Indian Ambassador to Poland Nagma Mallick, TCS Head of Europe Sapthagiri Chapalapalli, and General Manager for TCS in Eastern Europe Prabal Datta inaugurated the centre.
"This event marks a new chapter in the expansion of India's IT prowess in Poland and further strengthens the economic ties between our two nations," Mallick stated.
TCS has been operating in Poland since 2006 and the new centre joins its European delivery network, which enhances service delivery capabilities across the continent.
In market news, TCS shares were trading at Rs 4,238.05 on the Bombay Stock Exchange on Thursday, reflecting a decline of 1.37% from the previous close.
