India is set for a power-packed representation at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, beginning Monday, where over 3,000 global leaders will discuss “a spirit of dialogue” amid a fragmented world.
US President Donald Trump will be the summit’s biggest draw, arriving with five cabinet members and marking the city’s first USA House in over five decades. At least 64 heads of state or government will attend, with six of seven G-7 countries represented. China and Pakistan are sending large delegations.
The five-day meeting will examine global crises including Ukraine, Gaza, and Latin America, WEF President and CEO Borge Brende said. He added that the summit will host a record 400 top political leaders, over 1,700 business leaders, 30-plus foreign ministers, 60 finance ministers and central bank governors, and more than 30 trade ministers.
Key leaders attending include Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, French President Emmanuel Macron, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, Chinese Vice-Premier He Lifeng, and Swiss President Guy Parmelin. Presidents from Argentina, Indonesia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Colombia, Congo, Ecuador, Finland, Mozambique, Poland, Serbia, Singapore, Israel, and Syria will also participate, alongside prime ministers from Spain, Belgium, Greece, the Netherlands, Pakistan, Qatar, and the Palestinian National Authority.

From India, at least four Union ministers, Ashwini Vaishnaw, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Pralhad Joshi, and K Rammohan Naidu, and six chief ministers, including Devendra Fadnavis, N Chandrababu Naidu, Himanta Biswa Sarma, Mohan Yadav, A Revanth Reddy, and Hemant Soren, are expected. Over 100 top Indian CEOs will also attend.
The Indian delegation will take part in multiple panels, including discussions on whether India can become the world’s third-largest economy. Business leaders expected include Mukesh Ambani, N Chandrasekaran, Sanjiv Bajaj, Hari S Bhartia, Sudarshan Venu, Anish Shah, Amitabh Chaudhry, Nadir Godrej, Sajjan Jindal, Nikhil Kamath, Sunil Bharti Mittal, Nandan Nilekani, Salil S Parekh, Rishad Premji, Prashant Ruia, Vijay Shekhar Sharma, and Sumant Sinha.
Former Union minister Smriti Zubin Irani will also participate as founder-chairperson of Alliance for Global Good: Gender Equity and Equality.
Global attendees include UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, World Bank President Ajay Banga, IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva, ECB President Christine Lagarde, WHO DG Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, UNESCO Director-General Khaled el-Enany, WTO Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, and London Mayor Sadiq Khan.
From Pakistan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will attend.
