At least one in 10 in India aspires to become a politician. And in India, opportunities galore in this sector. Established politicians are encouraging newbies to join politics. However, one cannot overlook the drill that one has to endure in order to become an established politician.

 

In order to give aspirants a sneak peek into the sector, a man from Telangana acts as a sheer inspiration.

 

Koppula Eshwar Garu, who is a six time MLA from Karimnagar district, started his political career with Telugu Desam Party in 1994 and continued as MLA from Medaram Assembly constituency and later from Dharmapuri Assembly constituency. In 2001, he joined the TRS.

 

After becoming the MLA in 2004, Garu climbed the ladder of success in the past 20 years by adorning the role of a Chief Whip and eventually a Cabinet Minister in KCR government.

 

This is not it, Garu is contesting in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls from Peddapalli constituency on BRS’s ticket.

 

He started his career in late 80s as a Singareni worker who became an integral part of the struggle for rights of workers through trade union. Garu became active in politics in late 90s and since then he never had the chance to look back.

 

While we do not know how he will fare in the polls, yet his vast accomplishments and dedication make him distinct.
