Union Home Minister Amit Shah is slated to deliver speeches at election rallies in Tripura today, April 15, ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Shah arrived in Agartala on Sunday night and stayed overnight in Tripura. Today, he is scheduled to address public gatherings in both Tripura and Manipur.
According to BJP State General Secretary Amit Rakshit, Shah will address an election rally for the BJP candidate contesting the Tripura East Lok Sabha seat at Kumarghat in Unakoti district.
The rally will be attended by Chief Minister Manik Saha, Tipra Motha Chief Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma, IPFT President Prem Kumar Reang, and BJP nominee for the Tripura East Lok Sabha seat, Kriti Devi Debbarman.
Upon his arrival in the state, Shah held a meeting with senior party leaders, including the Chief Minister, BJP State President Rajib Bhattacharjee, and Union Minister of State Pratima Bhoumik, to discuss the BJP's preparations for the upcoming elections in two parliamentary seats.
The elections for the Tripura West Lok Sabha constituency and the by-poll for the Ramnagar Assembly segment are scheduled for April 19, while the voting for the Tripura East parliamentary constituency will take place on April 26.
Following his rally in Tripura, Amit Shah will proceed to campaign for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Manipur.
