As soon as campaigning for the third phase of elections came to an end, political leaders pulled up their socks to prepare the pitch for the fourth phase which will take place on May 13.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Andhra Pradesh on Monday for election campaign. And Union Home Minister Amit Shah had visited the place just a day ago.
Addressing a poll rally in Dharmavaram Assembly constituency in the state, Shah took potshots at Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and the YSR Congress Party.
On the campaign trail in the state, Shah has already declared that the Bharatiya Janata Party led by PM Modi will script history by winning the general elections of 2024.
While addressing the mass gathering, Shah accused the YSRCP of encouraging corruption, sand and land mafias, and crime in Andhra Pradesh.
The Home Minister said he came to the state to stand in solidarity with Telugu Desam Party and Jana Sena with whom the BJP has formed an alliance. Shah assured the state’s dwellers that the alliance will put up a fight to wipe out corruption, crime, mafia and conversion in the state.
On the issue of Andhra Pradesh’s state capital, Shah asserted that Amravati will remain the state’s centre. And the alliance will end the alleged rule of criminals, unabated corruption and sand mafia in the state.
Shah, further, stressed on the primary purpose of the BJP to make Narendra Modi as the prime minister again. And targeted the INDIA (Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance) bloc saying, “none from the INDI Alliance, including Rahul Gandhi, were fit to lead the country”.
