Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has emphasised that the upcoming election will be a clash of ideologies, pitting his party's support for the poor against the opposition's alignment with capitalists.
Speaking at the "Memantha Siddham" Mahasabha in Nellore District, CM Jagan urged voters to re-elect his government in the legislative assembly elections. He framed the contest as a battle between the YSRCP's inclusive development agenda and the opposition's alleged deception of various sections of society.
Jagan highlighted his government's achievements, such as empowering underprivileged children through English medium education and providing housing for 31 lakh homeless women. He contrasted this with the opposition's attempts to hinder the government's efforts to assist the poor, citing instances where they allegedly obstructed the distribution of social security pensions.
Critiquing his opponent, Chandrababu Naidu, Jagan likened him to a movie villain and questioned his track record in addressing the welfare of weaker sections during his tenure as Chief Minister. He challenged Naidu to showcase his accomplishments and accused him of resorting to deceitful tactics during elections.
With just five weeks until the elections, Jagan rallied supporters to expose the opposition's alleged deception and secure a decisive victory for the YSRCP. He urged voters to reject the opposition's promises and reaffirm their commitment to a government focused on welfare and development without corruption or discrimination.
In conclusion, CM Jagan called on voters to mobilise as star campaigners, cautioning them against falling for the opposition's strategies. He emphasised the importance of electing a government committed to credibility and urged voters to deliver a resounding mandate for the YSRCP in both the legislative assembly and parliamentary elections.
