Rajasthan's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Vice President, Narayan Lal Panchariya, expressed confidence on Wednesday in securing victory for the third consecutive time in all 25 seats of the state, noting the party's concerted efforts to engage women and minority leaders in the electoral process.
"We will win all 25 seats for the third time. We have roped in the women and minority leaders to make sure we win all the seats this time again," Panchariya stated.
He highlighted the strategic inclusion of leaders from diverse social backgrounds, emphasizing the assignment of specific tasks based on their social equations.
Panchariya dismissed concerns about challenging constituencies such as Churu, Jhunjhunu, and Dausa, asserting that there are no "tough" seats for the BJP in Rajasthan due to the public's trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He revealed plans for PM Modi to address a rally in Churu, concurrently catering to voters in Jhunjhunu. Union Minister Rajnath Singh has also recently addressed an election meeting in Jhunjhunu, with PM Modi scheduled to hold a roadshow in Dausa on April 12.
In response, Rajasthan Congress General Secretary Swarnim Chaturvedi emphasized the party's diligent efforts to make an impact in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
"We have allied on seats, Nagaur and Sikar, to strengthen the party. Also, we will win in Churu, Jhunjhunu, Dausa, and Bharatpur. We are getting good feedback from these seats," Chaturvedi stated.
In Churu, Congress has fielded Rahul Kaswan as the incumbent MP, while BJP has nominated Paralympian Devendra Jhajharia. PM Modi recently introduced a slogan at an election rally, 'Delhi mein Narendra aur Churu mein Devendra', with locals adding 'Aur saath mein Rajendra'.
In Dausa, Congress has nominated Murarilal Meena, a Sachin Pilot loyalist and former minister, to contest against BJP's Kanhaiya Lal, reflecting the significant influence of the Gujjar community in eastern Rajasthan, who view Pilot as their leader.
In Jhunjhunu, BJP's Shubhkaran Chaudhary is challenged by Congress MLA Brijendra Ola. Although BJP has withdrawn Narendra Kumar's ticket, Ola's political legacy as a member of the Ola family affords him considerable support in the constituency.
Alwar, Bharatpur, Bikaner, Churu, Dausa, Ganganagar, Jaipur, Jaipur Rural, Jhunjhunu, Karauli-Dholpur, Nagaur, and Sikar are slated for polls in the first phase on April 19.
