The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has revealed its electoral roadmap for the upcoming Arunachal Pradesh assembly elections with the launch of its manifesto titled 'Sankalp Patra'.

Party president JP Nadda introduced the comprehensive document in Arunachal's Doimukh before addressing a spirited public rally in the state.

Promises of progress and development

The manifesto pledges a holistic approach towards governance, focusing on key areas such as infrastructure development, women empowerment, employment opportunities, and ensuring transparent administration.

Highlighting the party's vision, Nadda announced plans to initiate the Arunachal Pradesh Gati Shakti master plan, spanning the next five years.

This strategic blueprint aims to bolster multi-modal connectivity and integrated infrastructural growth by executing projects across roadways, railways, and airways sectors.

Key agenda points

The BJP's agenda for Arunachal Pradesh encompasses maintaining peace, enhancing power generation, harnessing tourism potential, facilitating 5G connectivity, promoting natural farming, supporting sports initiatives, and maximizing the state's overall potential.

Describing the manifesto as a meticulously crafted roadmap, Nadda underlined its significance in articulating the party's aspirations for Arunachal Pradesh over the next five years.

He lauded the transformation of the region from a once-isolated territory marred by security concerns to a vibrant hub of growth, development, and prosperity.

"Earlier, Arunachal used to be an isolated land. We used to picture events like terrorism, insurgency, abduction, targeted killing etc. upon hearing the word 'Northeast India'. Now, this is a land known for growth, development and prosperity," said Nadda.

Addressing concerns regarding border tensions with Assam, Nadda assured that efforts have been made to quell disputes and promote peace. He talked about the substantial strides in border villages, which now witness unprecedented growth and development.

Embarking on a two-day visit to Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, and Andaman & Nicobar, Nadda commenced his journey on Wednesday by landing at Holongi (Donyi Polo) Airport, Itanagar, where he received a warm welcome from senior party leaders.
