BJP's 2024 manifesto: Key highlights of party's 'Sankalp Patra'

The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has unveiled its ambitious commitments in its "Sankalp Patra," with Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailing the government's schemes and programs for significantly transforming people's lives over the past decade.
PM Modi, BJP president JP Nadda, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, and other senior party members were present at the launch at the party headquarters in Delhi.
Addressing the audience at the BJP headquarters, PM Modi outlined key promises made in the manifesto :
- · The BJP aims to position India as a global nutrition hub through initiatives like 'Shree Anna' and the 'Rashtriya Sahkariti Niti.'
- · The PM Mudra Yojana's loan limit will double to Rs 20 lakh, and efforts will be ramped up for the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana.
- · The PM Suraj Portal will offer credit facilities to support livelihoods, while the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme will continue benefiting 100 million farmers.
- · The BJP will continue providing annual financial assistance of ₹6,000 under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana and strengthening the PM Fasal Bima Yojana.
- · The manifesto also focuses on integrating transgender individuals into the Ayushman Bharat Yojana and expanding the network of Garima Grahas to uplift the transgender community.
- · Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas will be observed to celebrate the significant contributions of tribal communities, with the year 2025 declared as Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh.
- · The party would establish a Digital Tribal Arts Academy to promote tribal art forms.
- · The BJP will invest ₹24,000 crore through PM Janman to bring the socio-economic status of the Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group on par with society.
- · Plans to expand livelihood opportunities for all families, including OBC, SC, and ST, by measures like doubling the MUDRA loan limit to ₹20 lakh and schemes such as PM Svanidhi and PM Vishwakaram Yojana, among others.
- · Start ‘Namaste Yojana’ for Safai Karamcharis, in addition to other welfare schemes to ensure safety, respect, and livelihood for Safai Karamcharis.
- · The BJP aims to lead the global south with the 5S approach of Samman, Samvad, Sahyog, Shanti, and Samriddhi.
- · Committed to seeking permanent membership in the UN Security Council to elevate Bharat’s position in global decision-making.
- · Launch a national forensics mission to strengthen the forensic infrastructure.
- · Eliminating Left Wing Extremism (LWE) for Surakshit Bharat.
- · Safeguarding Bharat's Digital Sovereignty and Implementing Robust Cyber Security Policies.
- · Expansion of the Kavach Train Protection System and adding 5000+ km of new tracks every year.
- · Redevelopment of 1,300+ railway stations to world-class standards and expanding coverage of new-age trains—Vande Bharat, Amrit Bharat, and Namo Bharat trains.
- · Constructing the first bullet train corridor in the country.
- · Ensuring the Modernization of Airports with Integrated Transit Facilities Such as Buses, Metro and rapid rail, among others, by effective use of the PM Gatishakti National Master Plan.
- · The BJP will introduce the Amrit Kaal Civil Aviation Master Plan to transform our airports, with the vision of positioning Bharat as the leading aviation ecosystem in South Asia.
- · Plans to integrate inter-ministry initiatives like the National Waterway Project, Namami Gange, the National River Conservation Plan, the Jal Marg Vikas Project, and Arth Ganga, among others, to double the share of inland water transport in transportation.
- · Expanding the 5G networks and taking the lead in the development of 6G technology.
- · Providing piped gas connections to around 1.1 crore households nationwide.
- · Implement AI technologies for traffic management and transport efficiency.
- · Expanding the fleet of PM-eBus and creating a digital urban land records system
- · Continue eliminating open landfills to manage all kinds of waste being produced in Bharat through the ‘Waste to Wealth Mission’.
- · Strengthen the RERA Act, which has helped make the real estate sector in Bharat more transparent and more citizen-friendly than ever before.
- · DigitiSe all Bharatiya manuscripts and epigraphs in mission mode.
- · Establish the Bharatiya Sanskriti Kosh to ensure the preservation and protection of ancient Bharatiya civilization, classical languages, culture, and traditions through the extensive use of technology.
- · Expedite the construction of the Yuge Yugeen Bharat National Museum.
- · restore and preserve culturally important Archaeological Survey of India monuments.
- · Launched a Swadesh Darshan program for the comprehensive development of tourist destinations.
- · Promoting ‘Wed in India’ and developing thematic circuits for promoting cultural experience.
- · Undertake significant new projects to develop religious and tourist sites inspired by the Kashi Vishwanath corridor model and Shri Ram Lalla in Ayodhya.
- · The BJP reiterates its stand to draft a uniform civil code.
- · Formulating a National Litigation Policy, initiating reforms in civil procedures, and accelerating the e-Courts Mission Mode Project
- · Making One Nation, One Election a Reality and making provisions for a common electoral roll for all levels of elections.
- · The BJP will assist states in transforming the police into a tech-savvy, tech-trained, and tech-equipped force through the Police Modernization Scheme.
- · Mental well-being has emerged as a top priority with initiatives like Manas and Manodarpan.
- · Ensure elimination of TB, Leprosy, Lymphatic Filariasis, Measles and Rubella, Trachoma, and Kala Azar
- · Achieve 100% implementation of 'One Nation, One Student ID’ through the automated.
- · Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR) to store academic qualifications, credit scores, and certificates, among others, for students from pre-primary to higher education.
- · PM SHRI Schools, Ekalavya Schools, and other such schools as per NEP.
- · 740 Eklavya Model Residential Schools will be established to prioritize the education of tribal children, with efforts towards a 100% gross enrollment ratio from pre-school to secondary level.
- · We will include more traditional sports under the Khelo India Scheme.
- · BJP’s manifesto guarantees for Balanced Regional Development: Leveraging the Northeast as a Strategic Gateway for the Act East Policy.
- · Formulate a dedicated Purvodaya Master Plan for targeted and integrated infrastructure. development of eastern India.
