India's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has criticized Congress leader Randeep Surjewala for allegedly making sexist remarks about BJP's Member of Parliament Hema Malini.
Amit Malviya, the chief of BJP's IT Department, shared a video on the social media platform X on Wednesday, purportedly showing Surjewala making objectionable comments about Malini, who currently represents the Mathura constituency.
In his post, Malviya condemned Surjewala's remarks, stating, "Congress MP Randeep Surjewala makes a vile sexist comment, that is demeaning and derogatory, not just for Hema Malini, who is an accomplished individual, but women in general…"
Malviya added, "This is the most disgusting description someone can come up with. This is Rahul Gandhi’s Congress. It is misogynistic and abhors women."
Hema Malini has been nominated to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha election from the Mathura seat in Uttar Pradesh.
