The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has secured a significant victory in Rajasthan's Lok Sabha elections, capturing 10 seats and leading in six others, as per official Election Commission data. The results of 16 Lok Sabha seats have been declared so far.
The remaining seats saw the Indian National Congress clinching five victories and leading in three constituencies. The Congress's allies, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and the Bharat Adivasi Party (BAP), each secured one seat, while the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) was leading in one constituency.
In the declared results, BJP candidates emerged triumphant in key constituencies. Arjun Ram Meghwal secured the Bikaner seat with a commanding lead of 55,711 votes, while Dushyant Singh claimed victory in Jhalawar-Baran by an impressive margin of 370,989 votes, continuing the family legacy of former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje.
Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav triumphed in Alwar, defeating Congress MLA Lalit Yadav by 48,282 votes, while Manju Sharma secured a resounding win in Jaipur, besting former minister Pratap Singh Khachariawas by 331,767 votes in a BJP stronghold.
Bhagirath Chaudhary retained the Ajmer seat for the BJP with a significant margin of 329,991 votes, and grassroots BJP worker Lumbaram clinched victory in Jalore-Sirohi, defeating Vaibhav Gehlot, son of former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, by 201,543 votes.
Meanwhile, in Rajsamand, Mahima Kumari Mewar, member of the erstwhile royal family of Mewar, secured a convincing win with a lead of 392,223 votes, while Manna Lal Rawat emerged victorious in Udaipur, defeating Congress' Tarachand Meena by 261,608 votes.
The BJP's Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, leading in Jodhpur, maintained a strong position, while PP Chaudhary secured victory in Pali for the BJP.
Among the Congress wins, Bhajan Lal Jatav secured Karauli-Dholpur by 98,945 votes, and Sanjna Jatav triumphed in Bharatpur with a lead of 51,983 votes. Other Congress victors included Kuldeep Indora in Ganganagar, Rahul Kaswan in Churu, Murari Lal Meena in Dausa, and Harish Chandra Meena in Tonk-Sawaimadhopur.
Additionally, the Congress's ally CPI(M) clinched victory in Sikar, with Amraram defeating the BJP's Sumedhanand Saraswati by 72,896 votes, while Bharat Adivasi Party candidate Rajkumar Roat, supported by Congress, secured a win in Banswara, defeating BJP's Mahendrajeet Malviya by 247,054 votes.
Malviya, a former Congress minister who joined the BJP, faced defeat despite his political switch earlier this year.
The election results reflect a significant political landscape in Rajasthan, with the BJP consolidating its position while the Congress and its allies make notable gains in several constituencies.
