In a fiery speech delivered in Mysuru, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the Congress party, branding it as the "sultan of tukde tukde gang" and accusing it of harbouring intentions to weaken the nation. Addressing a public rally ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, Modi asserted that the Congress's animosity towards the country had reached alarming levels.

Highlighting what he perceived as the Congress's divisive agenda, Modi criticised the party for its reluctance to chant patriotic slogans like "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" and accused it of engaging in appeasement politics.

He lamented the party's alleged disrespect towards national symbols like Vande Mataram and Lord Ram, emphasising that such actions would lead to the Congress's demise.

Furthermore, Modi lambasted the Congress for its purported alliance with groups involved in terrorist activities. He claimed that the party demanded proof of surgical strikes conducted by the Indian Army and refused to acknowledge Kashmir as an integral part of India. Modi warned against the dangers posed by such alliances and asserted that the Congress's objectives were detrimental to national security and integrity.

In his address, Modi underscored the significance of the upcoming elections, stating that they would shape India's future for decades to come. He urged the electorate to consider the long-term implications of their voting choices, emphasising that the decisions made in 2024 would reverberate until 2047.

The Prime Minister's rally in Mysuru was attended by several prominent political figures, including former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda and Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa. The event marked the beginning of Modi's campaign trail in Karnataka, which is set to go to the polls in two phases.

Karnataka's electoral landscape is divided into two phases, with the southern constituencies voting on April 26 and the northern constituencies on May 7. With 14 constituencies up for grabs in each phase, the state is poised to play a crucial role in determining the outcome of the Lok Sabha elections.

As the campaign season heats up, Modi's blistering critique of the Congress underscores the fierce competition and high stakes involved in the electoral battle for Karnataka's parliamentary seats.
