Congress Leader's Racist Remark on Indians Sparks Outcry, PM Modi Condemns.

In a recent interview, Congress leader Sam Pitroda stirred controversy with his remarks on diversity in India. He compared Indians from different regions to various ethnicities, drawing backlash for his analogy.

Pitroda's comments likening South Indians to Africans and East Indians to Chinese have sparked outrage across the political spectrum. This isn't the first time Pitroda has found himself in hot water due to his statements.

Earlier, he faced criticism for advocating for "inheritance tax" during the Lok Sabha elections, stirring a massive controversy. Now, his latest remarks have reignited the debate on racial sensitivity and cultural understanding in India.

Pitroda's comments prompted a swift response from Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a rally in Telangana. The PM condemned Pitroda's remarks, denouncing them as racist and unacceptable. He emphasised the need to embrace India's diverse cultural heritage and reject divisive rhetoric.

Furthermore, PM Modi linked Pitroda's statement to Congress's political decisions, questioning their motives behind certain actions. He referenced Congress's opposition to Droupadi Murmu's candidacy for the presidential election in 2022, suggesting a connection to Pitroda's remarks about skin colour.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also weighed in on the controversy, asserting his identity as an Indian from the Northeast. His response emphasised the unity of India despite its diverse population and urged Pitroda to have a better understanding of the country's cultural richness.

Sam Pitroda's recent remarks have sparked a heated debate on racial sensitivity and cultural inclusivity in India. The controversy highlights the importance of promoting unity and understanding in a diverse nation like India, where tolerance and acceptance are paramount.
