The Congress party has announced its Lok Sabha candidate list, with political activist Kanhaiya Kumar set to challenge BJP's Manoj Tiwari in North East Delhi.

In a bid to secure key constituencies, the Congress has strategically fielded candidates across Punjab, Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh. Former Punjab CM Channi will contest from Jalandhar, while Kanhaiya Kumar will stand for the North East Delhi seat, aiming to unseat incumbent MP Manoj Tiwari.

The party's foray into Delhi politics sees JP Agarwal vying for the Chandni Chowk constituency and Udit Raj entering the fray in North West Delhi. With this lineup, the Congress aims to leverage its alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to secure a significant presence in the capital.

In Punjab, the Congress has fielded a diverse range of candidates, including Gurjeet Singh Aujla from Amritsar, Amar Singh from Fatehgarh Sahib, and Jeet Mohinder Singh Sidhu from Bhatinda. The party's selections reflect its strategy to appeal to a broad spectrum of voters across the state.

Meanwhile, in Uttar Pradesh, the Congress has nominated Ujjwal Rewati Raman Singh for the Allahabad constituency, signalling its intent to compete in key battlegrounds beyond its traditional strongholds.

Overall, the Congress's candidate list underscores its commitment to contesting the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Punjab with vigour and determination.

By strategically selecting candidates with diverse backgrounds and regional appeal, the party aims to make significant inroads specifically if at all they have a chance via I.N.D.I Alliance seat sharing method of 4 and 3 in Delhi and challenge BJP or NDA in key constituencies.

The stage is set for a high-stakes electoral battle, with the Congress positioning itself as a formidable contender in the race for parliamentary seats.
