Arvind Kejriwal, the convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party and Chief Minister of Delhi, held his first roadshow in the South Delhi constituency for the Lok Sabha election campaign today.
He was accompanied by his counterpart from Punjab, Bhagwant Mann. This roadshow came a day after Kejriwal was released from the Tihar jail.
A large number of party leaders and workers gathered and cheered as Kejriwal and Mann rode an open-roof vehicle and waved at the people.
AAP volunteers, holding party flags and raising slogans, marched behind the vehicle in the narrow streets of Mehrauli in South Delhi, supporting party candidate Sahi Ram Pehalwan.
Kejriwal, who is out on an interim bail granted by the Supreme Court till June 1, earlier in the day said he will campaign across the country to fight against "dictatorship".
He will also participate in a roadshow in the East Delhi constituency supporting AAP candidate Kuldeep Kumar.
